New Tiffin Mercy Hospital (Masonry)

Project Scope

This 102,000 square foot project consisted of interior masonry, exterior masonry and site work. Limestone sills/bands and watertables played an important role at Tiffin Mercy Hospital, especially with the site work where the limestone walls integrated engraved brick pavers.Pre-cast medallions were also integrated into the exterior facade. Stone veneer was used for the chapel and all of the main entrance to the hospital.

Project Accomplishments

This project was built and designed in one phase. First, the shell was constructed, then the interior work followed. This project had complex roof profiles which created unique scaffolding set-ups, as well as, material staging. Precast medallions were used on the top profile of all walls. Tuttle used fieldstone in the chapel and the main entrance. Natural limestone sills and henders were used throughout the hospital.
