235 Patient Tower Room Renovations

Project Scope

Tuttle's role as general contractor was to drive the project as fast as possible. Early on it was decided to break the project down into six (6) phases. This brought the project into manageable sizes for LMH with other construction areas in CVICU/CCU and the Surgery Additions & Renovations at the same time. Tuttle was responsible for all construction, scheduling and coordination with owner, architect, and engineering.

Project Accomplishments

Initially Tuttle projected a sixteen (16) month schedule, however through creative phasing three (3) months were shaved off the overall schedule. This project had zero lost time accidents. A tremendous amount of asbestos had to be abated and proved to be challenging in each phase. All personel working on this project received asbestos awareness training at no charge. Overall this was a very difficult project that required daily coordination with patients staff, etc. Tuttle and LMH came away extremely satisfied with finished project.
