New Construction

Project Scope

Tuttle was involved in assisting with the design modifications to meet the established budget after the initial design was complete. Tuttle was contracted as a CM while self performing some of the work. All schedules were established, modified and monitored by Tuttle Construction. Contracts related to the project were written and administered by Tuttle, with the exception of the site work. The site work package was held by the owner and the work was administered by Tuttle. Finally, all of the subcontractor and supplier coordination was performed by Tuttle Construction.

Project Accomplishments

This project quickly fell three weeks behind schedule due to the intricate steel truss design and the lack of structural framing in the gable walls. Through value engineering ideas between Tuttle and the subs/suppliers, the design was successfully completed in a timely manner. Due to a strong partnering commitment between the subs/suppliers and Tuttle, the schedule got back on track. Although there were close to $100,000 in change orders on this project, the job was finished within one week of scheduled completion. The job came in under the original budget by approximately $20,000. There were zero lost time accidents on this job. Overall the prints lacked many details and were inconsistent, yet the project progressed on schedule with excellent cooperation between Tuttle's project team and the subcontractors and suppliers.
