New Elementary School Construction

Project Scope

This one story school building consists of 58,000 total square feet. The foundation is made of block constructed with block walls, brick veneer and a very complex standing seam roof. The building contains 30 classrooms, including a 5,000 square foot gymnasium, a learning resource center, a kitchen, a commons area, an art room, a music room, and administrative offices.

Project Accomplishments

The biggest accomplishment on this project was successfully completing one of the most difficult standing seam roof projects that Tuttle has ever constructed, due to the various angles, hips and valleys. Despite losing 2-3 months (due to harsh winter weather), the schedule was successfully compressed, allowing the project to be completed on time. Finally, there were zero lost time incidents on this project.
