Project Scope

The project represents the first phase of the implementation of the Campus Master Plan completed in 2003. The campus will add a new Learning Success Center building and will expand the Applied Science Center for the rapidly expanding needs of the Health Sciences. The building is conceived to provide space for a new library center, elements of a one-stop center, the success center, a retail component, specialty café, flexible computer labs and classrooms, collaboration spaces, offices and other teaming and learning spaces. The project will also involve limited renovation of Rhodes Hall and a significant expansion of the Applied Science Center on the Leffel Lane Campus. The expansion is anticipated to be approximately 20,000 gross square feet and provide space for additional classrooms and labs for health academic programs. The base project also includes some renovation of Rhodes Hall as part of the new project to prepare it for a more comprehensive future renovation that will not be part of the base project. The project will additionally include site work associated with added service drives for drop-off/pick-up, a new campus entry sign and a new parking lot for students, faculty and staff (approximately 190 spaces).
