Nairobi Pavilion Renovation

Project Scope

The existing Nairobi Pavilion at the Toledo Zoo was an open air pavilion/dining area with a kitchen and grilling area of approximately 16,600 square feet. Tuttle Construction was selected as the general contractor to oversee the $1,150,000 renovation of the pavilion to a new an improved fully climate-controlled enclosed reception/presentation center. The renovated pavilion features a 12,000 gallon reef tank that is 73 feet long and 7 feet high. The updated facility has the ability to break down into three different rooms, instead of one large room that can seat up to 1,200. Tuttle utilized an EIFS system enclosere, metal siding exteriors, and drywall interior to finish out the space. The existing concrete floors were ground, stained and polished along with installation of new aluminum store front doors and windows.
